Parent Partnership

At Beech Tree we believe that parents and staff working together is vital to ensuring a child's individual needs are fully met and each child gets the most from their nursery experience.

In the early years a child’s early experiences are mostly provided by the family within the home.

The Sound Foundations Report (2014) highlights three important aspects for practitioners to consider which will enable genuine engagement with families. It points out that a family’s cultural differences and their life priorities need to be respected in all aspects of planning and implementation of the EYFS.

This ‘triangle of care’ can provide the well-being that enables very young children to cope with separations and changes in routines.

How do we work together?

Parents, carers and families are the most important people in a child's life. We believe that children benefit most from early years education and care when parents and settings work together in partnership.

At Beech Tree we (when not under current COVID restrictions) hold regular open mornings for our children to show their families their learning environment and to meet their friends. This is also a chance for families to spend time with their child's key person and look at their child's learning journey.
